Publication Ethics
JERLI: Journal of Educational Research and Learning Innovation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows ethical publishing principles to ensure the integrity, quality, and credibility of scholarly publications.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- All sources and references are properly cited and acknowledged.
- Data presented in the manuscript are accurate and free from fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.
- Authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
- Any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or publication process are disclosed.
- Errors discovered after publication are promptly reported to the editor for correction or retraction when necessary.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Evaluating manuscripts solely on their academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to the field of education.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and the review process.
- Making fair, objective, and unbiased editorial decisions.
- Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct, plagiarism, or research malpractice.
- Ensuring the integrity of the publication process.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and constructively.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and not use unpublished information for personal advantage.
- Identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors.
- Report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns to the editor.
- Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.
Ethical Standards
JERLI does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or any other form of unethical publishing behavior. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected, withdrawn, or retracted, depending on the severity of the misconduct.
The journal is committed to promoting ethical research and publication practices and expects all parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—to adhere to these ethical principles.
